The artist has done his B.F.A & M.F.A from the Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan. In 2000, he received the Birla Academy Award & in 1993 Academy of Arts Award for Painting. He has had many significant shows globally. Shaw works mainly with landscapes, but handles them in a very contemporary fashion.The artist comments “Naturally my objects and textural surfaces are becoming significant discourses with the viewers. These works are challenging for me and taking into another world of reality.”
